The Rare Breeds Farm is privately owned and funded. Donations and admission fees are vital as they not only assist current conservation projects but also hasten the implementation of further projects that are urgently needed to be instigated. Such projects include the collection and freezing of embryos and semen of animals currently on the farm, to retrieve other breeds that are on the brink of extinction, and structural improvements to better facilitate the various projects.
